Background
Abilities
During her first years after upon venturing the human world Taiga showed nothing more than a manipulative and sadistic character that lacked any empathy towards humans or creatures that she deemed weak. Throughout the years and with her contact with a variety of races and deity’s alike she slowly began to understand and even accept the world mankind had created while overcoming her own demise.Being of unknown age doesn't eliminate the fact that Taiga's level of maturity can be questionable. She often portrays a selfish behavior and has never hidden how she enjoys putting others through great pain, both physically and emotionally, for her mere entertainment or curiosity. She has no qualms about killing innocents if that allows her to get what she wants. Regardless, Taiga does demonstrated genuine care for her subordinates whom she sees as family. When it comes to romance Taiga is quite the airhead. She had very little notions of what love implies. She understands lust and often seeks to fulfill her personal desires and believes others do the same but not that one would be capable of loving her. She does not question the fact that she already had her one true love story and has no faith that such grace will be bestowed upon her again.
Taiga has the appearance of a women in her twenties which is the age she feels more comfortable with. She has long, almost waist-length light blonde hair and honey hues. She is of average height and weight and carries a scar on her left shoulder that resembles a coin with a branded lotus. Her outfits are both plentiful and varied. She is seen wearing a wide assortment of different clothes, often dependent on the situation or the time period. Whenever she is able to, regardless of the time period, she prefers long dresses with details that date to the Victorian Age, this being her predominant outfit during most encounters. When traveling, to avoid easy detection, she often wears a different attire, a blue and white dress with a high collar and a gold trim, as well as a long black cape with a hoodie that enables her to hide her features from unwanted looks. The cape is kept closed by a crimson golden brooch.
Immortality - as a deity she was granted immortality. She will remain alive even if torn to pieces, though if the pieces of her body are separated by long distances and properly sealed, she can be effectively neutralized.
Enhanced Strength, Speed, Agility and Reflexes
Regeneration - Taiga has the ability to heal herself from any normal injuries almost instantly (this does not change the fact that she is not immune to pain, thus has to endure what any other creature would).
Ability to Manipulate Space-Time - Though it is unsure of its costs and limits the deity has the ability to create alternate dimensions, including ones parallel to a certain moment in time (as she did with the Pagan Tribes) but with reversed time lines.
Power Granting - Through the signing of a Soul Contract Taiga is able to grant others immortality (as well as heightened physical capabilities). This is a temporary arrangement, given once the other party has achieved its wish/goal (reason to make the contract) Taiga's end of the contract ceases. The individual will remain as it once was until the time of its death, time upon which Taiga will be the carrying its soul across the Sanzu River where she will guide it to Hell. (any attempts to prolong the time of the contract will immediately cease it and lead to the individual's death).
Weapon Mastery - Taiga is highly skilled with katana and most swords but her weapon of choice is a halbert that she has carried since childhood, the gigantic weapon is almost twice her size, its blade sharp and strong enough to cut almost any living creature in half.
Sharp Glare - While looking into one's eyes Taiga can see the purity of one’s soul.
Disguised Blessing - Chapter ITaiga's original date of birth is a mystery even to her, born of Hella and a demi-god (whose identity she does not know). Persephone was the first and only motherly figure of Taiga, whose original name ####, was bestowed by the Goddess before sending her into the human world with one of her demon's who would act as a Guardian and keeper of the child's power.Unaware of her true origins, her true nature, Taiga was raised upon a shrine in a remote village in the Northern Mountains of Japan. The Shrine was run by an old monk who raised the strange girl left upon his steps during a dreadfully windy evening. She prayed and studied under the guidance of the monk while having her powers sealed and watched upon by the Guardian hidden within her shadow. As she grew older Taiga often escaped the Shrine to peek around the village, yet never actually entered in contact with any of its people. The village was small but thrived for many years, that was until the date of the great disaster. An unknown disease began to spread across the people who quickly died bringing fear to overcome any other sentiment.Taiga was ten years the day the monk entered her room, covered with ointments over horrible open wounds. The male dragged the young girl down to a prison cell dug beneath the mountain side. While whispering incantations in her direction, Taiga cried hopeless, fear taking over her young self for the very first time. Other members of the Shrine and villagers would soon join, enchanting the words of an old blood ritual to appease the Mountain God. Sealed away the Guardian was unable to reach Taiga due to the protective Seal Barrier around the cave but quickly made Persephone aware of the events that were unfolding. Though the fact was never entirely confirmed and Taiga lacks the memories of the events, rumors state that, the Goddess herself, Persephone_ made way to the human world, where she restored Taiga's growing power and bestowed her with immortality. The young girl, was, nevertheless, tortured and buried alive (her body resistance against the attacks led the process to be far more painful and dreadful than what a normal human would have to endure) but such was unnoticed by the scared man that now prayed for the village quick recovery. Such events brought forth an immense hatred, an emotion she welcomed warmly as her body recovered and she dug herself out of the grave... Night had fallen upon the village as she stood upon her two feet again, there were no more voices echoing in the air and the female, though young and naive quickly grew aware of her body's strength and speed.By invading the ritual tool shed located behind the Shrine, many of the torture implements used upon her just a few hours earlier remained within covered in her own blood. She retrieved a scythe from within which she then used to massacre the villagers before the eyes of the monks, though killing them only within the end she left her caregiver alive to carry on the tale. Missing one of his eyes and both legs she was never sure if the male survived to do so.
The Pagan Years - Chapter IIUpon leaving the village where she stayed for her young years Taiga was accompanied by demigods and creatures alike as she ventured through the world. Not much is known of her doings during the years that went by. She would change her appearance quite often and so did those that accompanied her from time to time. There are rumors that she spent several years solely upon the Underworld under close eye of Persephone that had both a use for her powers but also a soft spot towards the girl she watched growing. With the emergence of her powers and growth of her confidence Taiga came to be well known among the higher races and God's, in fact she became an adored deity among pagan tribes that would perform annual rituals to appease her thirst and guarantee the survival of its people after a sequence of strange events that had almost led to their extinction, the tribe never once questioned her if she had in fact been the one responsible for the terrible events. She was but their savior, and thus temples were erected and statues placed around the islands to remind the people of her grace. The adoration led Taiga's powers not only to increase but to the increase of her rank to that of an actual Goddess, something Persephone both supported and yet disliked at the same time. For what Taiga may had earned in knowledge she still lacked any empathy towards others and the balance of the world as it stood. It would take several centuries before Taiga faced a second tragedy. The arrival of a Shaman from a distant Tribe would raise the suspicious among the villagers and soon lead Taiga to her demise.
The Eternal Demise - Chapter IIISome say the Shaman that visited the village where Taiga was worshiped was in fact a descendant of the monk's of the Order of the Seven Dawns that have vowed to find and imprison the creature responsible for the events that almost led to the extinction of the Order as well. Now faced with such recounts the villagers were divided, overwhelmed by doubt and finally questioning if the graceful Goddess was not in fact a Demon in disguise. The prayers diminished along with the minor rituals often performed by local families. Taiga observed as the humans she once didn't hate slowly began to remind her of her own past and of those she had killed. The Goddess had, by then, long been known to have fallen in love with a human, a young male that carried great strength and could certainly become the leader of the Village one day. Though they met in secrecy rumors circulated and bards sang of their encounters among the fountain in the woods. He kept her sane, even kind and yet if not for him she had been more careful, she would've foreseen the acts of the Shaman...One evening as she prepared her descend to the human world to meet with her loved one she immediately felt a strange aura was surfacing upon the woods, the deadly silence were irrupted by Taiga's scream, one that echoed to the very depths of the Underworld as she reached the fountain only to find her lover already dead, its blood staining the otherwise clear waters of the fountain. Tears felt down the blonde's eyes, she felt misery, despair, such dire pain that she believed she was now facing death too... A trick upon her mind, such feelings turned into nothing more than rage and disgust. The male had been killed as an offering to another deity that promised in exchange to protect the villagers from the blonde and curse her soul with eternal sorrow.Unfortunately for the villagers the deity was young and weak, she knew little of Taiga, even less of her powers. Her attempt to curse her failed as the blonde was already under such tremendous sorrow. As any other Trickster it ran and vanished leaving the village to its fate.It was to date the only time Taiga had yet unleashed her power to such extent. After torturing and ravishing the villagers she performed what would be known as the Eternal Demise. The villagers would wake up with no memories of the events, the village itself back to its former glory only to find themselves undergoing through horrible torture and death once again upon a cycle of 93 days, upon which the village, and villagers alike would be back to day one. Never knowing, never free the blonde watched them suffer for many years, never growing bored of killing them or finding new ways to torture their existence.
